Postdoctoral position is available in a suitable laboratory E. Fiona Bailey, PhD., Department of Physiology at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona. The candidate will work on the NIDCD NIH-funded research project, the study of the neuromuscular control of human language to language. Research focuses on the study of language are regarded as the output of human motor control with a particular neuron to achieve the desired results of acoustic / goals. The use of tungsten microelectrodes candidate identification and characterization of a single block of the engine and the EMG activity of the muscles, depending on the motor cortex (volitional) controlled behavior. The candidate will be responsible for the development of appropriate incentives speech almost word and acoustic measurements and associated analysis. The salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
